RBEI started with onsite ECU software support to Diesel Systems division in 1990. Offshore work from India for supporting truck applications started from 1992. The year 1994 saw the support expand to passenger car domain as well.

With the commencement of the Emerging Market projects in January 2003, RBIN has become the fourth DS ECU development location for Bosch. This includes hardware, software and electrical systems responsibilities. Currently ECU Projects for Brazil, China and India are being handled at RBEI/EDU.

RBEI/EDU is also involved in software development for diesel passenger cars. As a development partner of DS/EEF department, RBEI/EDU executes complete software projects for customers.

The hardware team in RBEI/EDU is responsible for ECU hardware development for emerging market ECU projects and other special projects which include the development of testing systems such as the Integrated RBEI Vehicle Simulator. Today, RBEI/EDU also supports various other projects in DS in the area of hardware development.

Embedded software engineers (Code: 0802003)

Your Tasks:

  • Responsible for the software engineering of Body Electronics systems
  • Focus on optimum and reliable software
  • Development of Software components known as Building Blocks
  • Deal with a wide range of communication technologies such as LIN,CAN and Flexray
  • Deal with diagnostics protocols like KWP2001 and UDS
  • Using Tools like Compilers, Debuggers, Emulators, Oscilloscope, Signal generators, Rational Clear case for SCM and DOORS for Requirement Management during the software development life cycle
  • Deal with system design tools like dSpace
  • Deal with module test tools like IBM rational test real time
  • Deal with software close to hardware (device drivers)
  • Deal with test automation.

Our Expectations:

  • BE/B. Tech/ M. Tech in Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation
  • An experience of 2-6 years in Microcontrollers, usage of emulators, debuggers & logic analyzers
  • Aware of C, assembly language programming for real-time embedded systems and have knowledge of automotive communication protocols like CAN and LIN.
  • Knowledge of I2C, SPI protocols
  • Good knowledge of software engineering practices
  • Good analytical & communication skills
  • Exposure to Automotive Domain is an advantage
  • For profiles with > 7 years, experience in project management is needed
