POSITION : General Manager – Senior Partner Business/ Development Director

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Global Services Partner (GSP) team is part of the Global Ecosystem and Partner Group organization. The GSP team is responsible for the identification and execution of significant go-to-market opportunities for  partners while maximizing the value of Product’s  brand and growing the partner ecosystem. The GSP team also supports the Executive Board, Business Solution Groups and the Global Field Organizations in developing and executing their growth strategies world wide.

Specifically the team is responsible for:

Developing and implementing partner strategy, opportunity assessment, deal execution and rollout, and
Partner marketing in close cooperation with the global partner marketing team
Identifying and leading new innovative partnering opportunities and initiatives
Supporting the evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities
Managing the global relationships with our most strategic partners including incubating and growing partnership investments

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
General Manager – Senior Partner Business Development Director:
Will develop and execute strategic partnership roadmaps and boost the overall relationship to the next level
Will map ERP Product  & Partner strategic agenda and identify strategic collaboration / investment areas
Will think out of the box and be responsible for incubation of new ideas / approaches + execution of new business models to grow the mutual business
Will manage the overall relationship, partner focused ERP PRODUCT strategies and engagements between ERP PRODUCT and the partner
Will review and enhance on an annual base the key strategic goals ERP PRODUCT and the partner have to focus on
Will build business cases to justify investments and drive defined business cases as a business owner
Will interact with c-level and senior executives to drive a strategic agenda
Is familiar with ERP PRODUCT, its products and solutions, partners, markets and competition
Is well-rounded understanding of business management practices, financial theory and analysis
Is responsible to establish, maintain, monitor, and extend a portfolio of strategic initiatives with the partner
Is responsible for the premier position ERP PRODUCT will have related to the overall business of the partner
Is responsible for the execution of the annual business plans
Is responsible for balanced scorecard reporting – internal & external reporting
Is responsible for all ERP PRODUCT contracts with the partner in alignment with the appropriate ERP PRODUCT business owner and ERP PRODUCT legal Department
Is responsible for all marketing and communication activities between ERP PRODUCT and the partner

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor’s degree in, Engineering or Computer Science required & a MBA from a top-tier institution preferred(IIMs or any B School only).
Outstanding analytical thinking and strategic business focus rounded up by creativity and innovation
Has an entrepreneurial spirit and strong drive for results
Teamwork: can manage virtual teams with different cultural backgrounds and over time-zones
Strong communication skills; can articulate ideas, argue and convince at a C-level
A consensus-builder and is capable of utilizing his/her strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation and writing skills in English to successfully interact with colleagues, partners and executive management
Demonstrates accountability and commitment to making effective decisions in the best interest of ERP PRODUCT
Well-rounded understanding of business, partner and project management practices, contract and IP
Management, deal shaping tactics
Ability to work in highly volatile environment and under time pressures
Strong problem solving skills and always able to de-escalate problematic situations

WORK EXPERIENCE
High potential individual capable of leading the organization at an executive level. Significant business experience (9+ years), preferably with a major international high technology corporation, software company or strategic consulting firm. At least 2 years in business development or strategic planning role and assignment to strategic global projects and business development responsibilities needed. Preferred candidates will also have 3 – 4 years of experience identifying, executing and implementing new alliances and partnerships.
