Job Description

The primary focus of this role is to define the technical design of multi-tier J2EE based enterprise systems together with the liaison teams and lead a local technical team.

Education

We expect the individual to have a minimum of a university degree.

Desired Experience

A minimum of four to six years of work experience is required; experience in Telecommunication or Healthcare domains is preferred.

Desired Skills

– Expert knowledge of high performance distributed n-tier J2EE application architecture with hands-on experience in J2EE Technologies, Application Servers, Web Services and SOA.

– Expert knowledge of UML Modeling, SW/J2EE Design Patterns, Java/J2EE, EJB2.1 and EJB3.0, JSP, Ajax, XML, Object/Relational mapping, RDBMS, Directory, Registry, Security/ID Management and web infrastructure management.

– Experience in J2EE frameworks and software, preferably Spring, Hibernate, JBoss, BEA WebLogic and IBM WebSphere

– Expert at complete software project lifecycle (SDLC), preferably one of Agile (extreme programming) methodologies

– Sound knowledge in core java and core J2EE like JSP, Servelet.

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

– Excellent problem solving skills

Job Description:

As an individual you will help building core technology team and software components for various wireless technology platforms, thus helping the leading companies deploy cutting edge technologies. You will be involved in full life cycle for product and software development and be responsible for development and deployment of the software components and products successfully. You will be a lead member of team working closely with Systems Architect/Project Manager in technical design, implementation, testing and integration. Other job responsibilities include, but not limited to, mentoring and leading other developers in the design, implementation and testing of core software component development in the wireless technology platform areas.

Qualifications:

? 3-4 years of experience in the area of wireless telecommunications domain
? Hand-on with one of the leading mobile terminal software platform technologies (Embedded Linux, Symbian, WinCE, Brew, ..)
? At least 1-2 years of hand-on experience with one of the leading Symbian OS User Interface technologies such as S60 (Series 60) and (or) UIQ
? In-depth knowledge of Symbian OS is highly desirable
? Proficient in various radio access technologies in wireless communications space
? Exposure to multimedia technologies, compression formats and engines is a big plus
? Open minded and good team player with good communication skills
? Strong knowledge of wireless terminal software architecture and past embedded RTOS experience is a bonus
? Ability to work independently on focused projects
? Bachelors degree or greater with Computing/Telecommunications background is a must

Responsibilities for this role include:

? Assisting the Project Manager and Technology Architect preparing detailed requirements for projects based on high-level requirements
? Developing designs that meet the project?s high-level and detailed requirements
? Providing work breakdown estimates based on the design
? As part of the team implementing work packages to specification, on time and to quality expectations
? Reviewing the designs and code of their peers on the project
? Supporting and maintaining software releases
? Contributing to the design and development of unit and integration tests and test harnesses
