Senior Java Developer (4-6 years experience), US based Client’s ODC, Chennai

This is an opportunity with the the Offshore Development team of our long term client – a US based company that provides user-generated media sharing infrastructure to some of the biggest names in American Media such as Sony Pictures and the Washington Post.

We are a small startup in Chennai involved in developing web based solutions around media sharing, online buzz aggregation and search.You can look up more on us at www.one-i.net.

Job Description:

Work with existing team to Design, Develop and Scale the Media Sharing Infrastructure

Essential Skills

1. Hands on experience of atleast 4-6 years on Servlets, JSPs, Tomcat. Comfortable with both front end and back end development.
2. Good Database skills and experience with MySQL
3. Good understanding of Tomcat and MySQL performance tuning / optimization in Linux environment
4. Demonstrated ability to Design/ Architect solutions
5. Good Troubleshooting and Communication Skills

Desired Skills

1. Experience building large distributed systems and applications with emphasis on web services
2. Exposure to Ajax/ Flash/ Video Codecs
