Job Title:- Layer 2 / L3 Gigabit Ethernet Switching / Routing Development & Testing.
Location :- Chennai

Job Description:
· Testing Layer 2 / Layer3 Gigabit Ethernet Switching / Routing systems.
· Design & Develop test strategies, test plans, and test topologies to verify standards compatibility, functionality, interoperability, and systems-level readiness for customer implementation.
· Evaluate/develop new test tools and automated test cases for existing and next generation products and technologies

Qualifications Required:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Electronics / Communications / Electrical Engineering
· Excellent analytical, communications (verbal / written) and interpersonal skills.

Excellent Knowledge / Experience in as many of the following areas:

· Real-time embedded platform bring up and testing.
· Testing of 10/100/1000 and 10G Ethernet interfaces.
· Bridging/Spanning Tree, VLANs (all types), QoS (classification, modification, and policing), IEEE 802.1P, Access Control, Link aggregation, Mirroring, IGMP Snooping, and TCP/IP
· Unicast and Multicast protocols and applications – RIP, OSPF, VRRP, IGMP, PIM, DVMRP, BGP, and IEEE 802.1W.
· Traffic redirection based on L4/L7 port information (TCP, UDP, HTTP etc) or IP address range-both source/destination,
· NAT, Server Load balancing and Streaming media applications
· Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
· Tools development and Test Automation: Tcl/Tk, Scripting
· Network Security and Management features – Netlogin, AAA, IP sec, Firewalls, SSL, SNMP MIB Testing


· Experience with 3rd party traffic generation and monitoring tools for simulation of L3 test environments
· Exposure to Power-over-Ethernet (PoE)
