Requirement Details:

Job Description:
The candidate will be working in a sustaining and maintainability engineering team (Customer Centric Engineering, CCE) that is responsible for resolving engineering level escalated problems, as well as developing production level example/demo applications, user level utilities for e-business servers, and components and objects genericized for end user Weblogic Portal applications.

The CCE team is also responsible for engineering support for all released products, including service pack content, gathering technical requirements for new features from large clients, and responsible for developing technical requirements documents from Marketing Requirements Documents and other new feature request sources. A principal focus of the CCE organization is to liberate, to the extent possible, the release-based engineering resources from maintenance engineering and other customer interactions. This will allow the released-based engineering teams to focus, more fully, their resources! to meet aggressive schedules and incorporate additional functionality into each product release.

Qualifications/Necessary Skills:
-5 or more years of development experience using Java technologies with specific experience in EJBs, JSP/Servlets, and J2EE technologies
-Experience designing and developing n-tier web applications
-Working experience using the servlet specification 2.3 or newer spec, or the javax.servlet package
-Familiarity and working experience with java classloading concepts
-Web based application development and deployment experience using Java based technologies
-3 or more years experience with SQL
-Experience with web database interaction and scalability
-Good understanding of browser capabilities and design constraints
-Excellent system and code level troubleshooting and debugging skills
-Excellent communications skills
-Experience in working technical issues with other organizations (internally and ! externally)
-Ability to present technical subject matter to both technical and non-technical people
-Ability and desire to deliver assigned tasks and projects on schedule, meeting aggressive delivery schedules
-Ability and desire to work in a high-pressure entrepreneurial environment


Desired Skills:
-Experience in developing and deploying web based applications on a variety of Unix platforms (Solaris, Linux, HP-UX, IBM AIX) and Microsoft’s Windows environments
-Experience with and a strong working knowledge of the Apache Ant build tool
-Experience with, and a working knowledge of Java test tools (for example Cactus, JUnit, LoadRunner)
-Experience developing applications using JDBC with databases such as Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server. DB2)
-Experience developing MVC and Struts based applications
-A strong working knowledge of XML
-A deep working knowledge of HTML, HTTP, and _Javascript
-Experience developing applicatio! ns using a commercial content management system (Documentum, Filenet, Fatwire. Stellant) is desirable
-Experience developing J2EE applications using a J2EE application server (preferably Weblogic Server, also WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat)
-Experience using Perforce Software Configuration Management tool

Responsibilities:
-Resolving critical escalated code bugs efficiently and thoroughly
-Designing and implementing e-business production level applications that are generic, yet are able to be easily configured like shrink wrap applications
-Providing accurate time estimates for development projects and tasks
-Creating documentation at the in-line, functional, and design/specification level
-Working within coding and style guides
-Design procedure and guideline documents for interfacing with other organizations

Education:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
Master of Science in Computer Science desirable!
